We have heard it a million times “it is better off if I just leave it empty or put a long term tenant in there” Well now you can know for sure. We have created this cost benefit analysis form to determine if it really does make a difference and how much of a difference does it make. These are actual costs not tax writeoffs, tax benefits, etc. In other words real world money going in and out.

Enter the required information to determine your daily costs to run your home whether occupied or not. The more accurate you are the more accurate the data will be. The best way to do this is to take three bills during an occupied time and an unoccupied time. If it is something you do once a year or the total for that year regardless of if it is occupied or not just enter the total and 365 for the days. If you take the time to fill out the information requested, it will give you a very accurate accounting.
